New Service The new AirTrain Newark rail station, connected by a 1-mile extension of the existing monorail, now seamlessly links NJ Transit to NY Penn Station with 1 to 3 trains an hour. The trip takes only 20 min and costs $11.55. Frquency: 5 am, 6 am, then 3 trains/hr until 9 pm, then 2/hr until midnight, then 1 am, 2 am; weekends, 1 to 2 trains/hr.
